When you want to cook Southern style, you’ve got to get your grits on. If you’ve enjoyed the grits at our award-winning Old Mill Restaurant, you know what we mean!

The secret to our grits' wonderful flavor and texture is stone grinding, and ours is still ground with water-power, the way it's been done since 1830.

Native Americans and early settlers used this method, and the Old Mill is proud to bring this delicious tradition home to you.

Available in 2 and 5 lb. bags.

We apologize but our 25 lb. bags are currently unavailable online.

Excellent old-time grits

I've tried many brands, and they are all too mealy. This one has real texture. I used to guy from Byrd Mill, which had excellent old-time grits, but they seem to have gone out of business, so I was looking for a replacement. I tried a number of brands that purport to be coarse stone-ground grits, but they are no different from the ones I can get at the supermarket. Old Mill is different. Shipping is, unfortunately, expensive, but the product is excellent.

These are very good grits. The texture is perfect and the flavor is good. I have bought grits from several places and none beats these.
