I've been looking for a cinnamon raisin bread with a light texture and this is it. The pecans add a nice crunch and the bread is wonderful toasted with morning tea. This is not like the dense, heavy cinnamon raisin breads on the supermarket shelf. It's a light, sandwich type bread which works well with chicken salad or ham as the flavors are complementary. Only wish I lived closer to the bakery so I could pick it up anytime.
Good but not great. Adding more cinnamon and raisins would make it so much better. It does have a lot
of pecans.
I enjoyed the bread while I was in Gatlinburg and was so pleased to find out that I could Oder the same delicious stuff at home. The only thing I miss is the pre slicing at the store!!
I give props to most Southern foods. This bread has a great texture, but I was hoping for more intense flavor. I know it's not cake, but for my taste, when toasted, it needed a cinnamon/spice/brown sugar sprinkling in the melted butter.
The cinnamon raisin pecan bread was delicious.
